Going for a month and a bit without internet probably isn't as bad as you'd imagine it to be, especially considering my sizable collection of media burned to DVD and stored on an external drive. Basically what it takes away from me is my ability to talk with the people I care about, and even then there are only two or three people who I miss communication with. I'm sure immediatley your mind would go to the endless browsing of the internet, but what it really comes down to is reading and writing blogs; writing on this site, and reading my few friends who have livejournals; really it only takes about ten to thirty minutes a day, and after that there isn't really anything else to do online.
